Predicting prostate cancer many years in advance

Swedish researchers studied archived specimens of 462 Swedish men aged 44 to 50 who subsequently developed prostate cancer as well as 1,222 matched control subjects. They found that a single PSA test at age 44 to 50 years had substantial value for predicting subsequent clinically diagnosed prostate cancer. This could be useful in assigning men to risk groups.
